Mike Sohm

Mike Sohm

Mike grew up in a loving and stable home in Minnesota where church was an important part of family life. Mike put his faith in Christ as his Savior while working in a factory the summer before entering college at Mankato State University. He was soon connected with the Navigators, who helped him build a spiritual foundation, learn how to share the gospel and disciple others, and grow in his relationship with Christ.

Mike met Nancy through MSU’s Navigator student ministry. They were married in 1979 and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, where they attended Canadian Theological Seminary. Mike was then called as an associate pastor to Burnaby, British Columbia.

The Sohms moved to northeast Thailand in 1984 and served as church planters and field director under The Christian and Missionary Alliance. They returned to the US in 1991 when Mike took on the role of regional director for the East Asia Pacific Islands. In 2002 he became an assistant vice president, overseeing C&MA work in Asia and Latin America. In 2006, Mike began a new ministry at Crown College, first as the Executive VP/VP of Operations and Human Resources and later as Vice President of Student Development.

Mike became the President of CAMA Services, the relief and development branch of the C&MA, in July 2013. He has served on the Board of Directors of CAMA since 2007.

Mike and Nancy have three grown sons: Caleb, Joshua, and Daniel.
