Pioneer Christian Hospital: Aid for Congolese Refugees
Priority Project 4-47401-42-36
Impfondo, Republic of Congo
Fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has caused a flood of refugees into the neighboring country of the Republic of Congo. A number of sick and wounded refugees are being assisted by staff at the Pioneer Christian Hospital in Impfondo where they are receiving spiritual and physical aide. This team includes marketplace ministries couple Dr. Stephen and Anna Wegner.
Currently, more than 50 percent of the patients need nutritional support, have only the clothes on their backs, and no means to pay for the assistance they are receiving. Because of the influx of refugees, the population in the region has tripled causing a shortage of medicines, supplies and personnel to care for the ill. The team is doing its best to stretch limited resources and minister effectively to desperate needs.
Your gift of $5 will pay for the care of a patient for a day. We invite your partnership in providing aide for these war wounded refugees.
